We built the trip planner we wanted to use.

RoamReady Now started with a group chat. Four of us were planning a long weekend in Lisbon using a shared document that nobody kept up to date. The trip was great, but it took eleven days of back and forth to plan five days of vacation.

We wanted one plan that everyone could see, with honest prices, that would update on its own when someone's flight changed. That idea became RoamReady Now.

Our team

The founding team

RoamReady Now is led by four co-founders, each running one core area of the business: product, finance, marketing and operations. As we grow, we'll bring in experienced people for the roles our team doesn't cover yet, so each founder can stay focused on their own area.

Amanda Goh

Co-Founder & Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Amanda leads our digital products: the website, the mobile app and Roamio, our AI travel assistant. Amanda sets the product roadmap and decides which features come first, from personalized itineraries and group coordination to booking approvals and real-time changes while you travel. The CIO also owns the overall user experience and works with every department to make sure new technology actually helps our travelers.

Jeffrey Johnson

Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Jeffrey runs financial planning, budgeting and subscription pricing, including the Explorer, Companion and Concierge tiers. RoamReady Now is fully online, so our costs are technology, AI and cloud services, people, marketing, travel partnerships and payment processing rather than storefronts. Jeffrey forecasts revenue and expenses, tracks profitability, acquisition cost, conversion and retention, and works with the CEO on fundraising and investor reporting.

Kristy Nguyen

Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Kristy builds the RoamReady Now brand and is in charge of attracting and keeping customers. Kristy oversees advertising, promotions, events, social media, influencer partnerships and campaigns like "What Kind of Traveler Are You?", and keeps our message, "Spend less time planning and more time traveling," consistent everywhere. Kristy measures results through site and app traffic, trial sign-ups, trial-to-paid conversion, engagement and retention.

Eric Armenta Salazar

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Eric runs the day-to-day operations behind RoamReady Now. Eric leads market and competitor research, operational strategy, service quality and customer experience, and builds our relationships with airlines, hotels, activity providers and other travel companies. Eric uses research and customer feedback to keep improving the service and to help the company adapt as the travel industry changes.

We're early in our careers, and we know where we need more experience. These roles will be filled by experienced outside hires.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Our CEO will lead RoamReady Now through launch, fundraising, growth and expansion. They'll oversee the executive team, work with investors, build major strategic partnerships and make sure every department is working toward the same goals. Bringing in an experienced CEO adds leadership experience at the top and lets each founder concentrate on their own area.

Until a CEO is hired, the four co-founders share the CEO's duties on top of their own roles.

HR / People Manager

Our HR and People Manager will handle recruiting, onboarding, training, employee policies, benefits and performance management. As a small startup we don't need a Chief Human Resources Officer yet, but that role will matter as the company grows.

Outside counselLegal & compliance

Legal & Compliance

Outside legal counsel will help with contracts, privacy, AI and data issues, intellectual property, travel provider agreements and regulatory matters. Later on, we plan to hire a General Counsel or a Legal and Compliance Manager.

A good plan is one the whole group agrees to

Most travel tools are made for one person booking one thing. Group travel means working around different budgets, different diets, and at least one person who won't get up before ten.

Roamio's job is to balance all of that and come back with a plan everyone can agree to, showing his reasoning along the way.

Explain every decision

When Roamio moves your dinner reservation, he tells you why. You should never have to guess why your plan changed.

Show the full price

The price you see is the price you pay. We don't advertise teaser fares or add fees that only appear at checkout.

Respect your data

Your plans stay within your group. You can export everything, and we never use your data to make it harder to leave.

Roamio is a penguin with a navy bandana, a map-pin badge, a well-worn backpack and a habit of arriving early. He started as a quick sketch during our first week and soon became the face of the product.

In the app, he's the one building itineraries, checking the budget and keeping the group chat on track.
